Who knew that when Kurt Busiek and George Perez teamed up to do the 1998 Heroes Return relaunch (volume 3, issue #1) of the Avengers, they'd create a meme decades before the original was itself even created?
Obviously nobody, but that panel from the comic gave me a sensible chuckle.
