RIP Gene Colan
Sadly, Gene Colan died on Thursday at the age of 84. Colan was one of the greats of the Silver Age, where he did the artwork for the cult classics The Tomb of Dracula and Howard the Duck, the latter of which was turned into a so-crappy-it-might-actually-be-good-but-not-really movie in the 80s, as well as other titles ranging from Batman to Iron Man and beyond. Colan also co-created The Falcon, one of the first African-American superhero in mainstream comics and created Blade, the vampire hunter.
Rest in Peace.
Rest in Peace.
Megan Fox didn't quit Transformers, she was fired
Michael Bay recently revealed during an interview that the story Shia LeBeouf spun about Fox quitting the Transformers franchise because she didn't like the way Bay kept focusing on her sexiness in the first two films is a whole lot of bunk. Instead, she was fired by Steven Spielberg, the executive producer of the trilogy because she compared Michael Bay to Hitler during an interview. Yup, she was shitcanned because she pulled a Godwin. Bravo.
Actually, I agree with Spielberg's decision, because comparing anybody except for Hitler himself, Stalin, Chairman Mao and really any genocidal maniac to Hitler is just the dumbest thing you can do.
