Because the song is true. We geeks and nerds have to put up with so much crap not just in school, but in life, but in the end, we are the cool ones. Hell, we basically rule the world at this point. We created the internet, cell phones and other electronics. We founded the tech and internet companies. It was a geek who created Facebook, not some college quarterback. What exactly have jocks and preps contributed to society compared to us? Zilch.

Never be ashamed of your nerdiness or geekiness, regardless of the bullying and ostracization. You're not different, you're just cooler.
