I must be really disappointing people who are coming here for the non-existent Spider-Man and She-Hulk porn

I noticed that the top two keyword searches for this blog are "spiderman porn" and "she hulk porn". Now, I knew the origin of the latter, but the former confused me, so I googled and sure enough, it came from the same place as "she hulk porn": this post. I'm guessing people are seeing that picture in Google's image search, assume that there's some hot action is about to go on between Human Torch (dressed as Spidey for Halloween) and She-Hulk and click the link. Boy, they must be so disappointed.

Pretty Ladies - Yvonne Craig

Probably best known for her stint as Batgirl in the Batman TV show, Yvonne Craig also starred in a single episode of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as well as One Spy Too Many, a reworking of a two part episode that was turned into a movie. Her role in the latter was added just for the movie and one of her scenes features the lovely Craig stretched out under a tanning lamp.

Can I just say "holy shit"? Because holy shit, she was a babe! Pictures via Polar Blair's Den. It's obvious that they added this scene to the movie to give lads some nice eye candy to gawk at. Here's two more of Craig: one from Batman and the other looks like a publicity shot.

Music: Aerosmith - Crazy

There are only two bodies of work that I think of when I hear Alicia Silverstone's name: Clueless and her Aerosmith music videos.

On the downer side, Liv Tyler was seventeen when she did this video. :|

Thinking of listening to some podcasts and watching some webseries

Since that's the groovy thing all the hip cats are doing nowadays. I'm not sure what to listen to, though, but I have some ideas:
  • The Nerdist podcast(s)
  • Wrestling
  • Comedy
  • Something nerdy. Vague, I know.
I've listened to a couple episodes of The Nerdist and enjoyed them, so there's that. I might add one or two of the other podcasts that they have. There are several wrestling-related podcasts that I'll try out before deciding on a couple. The main problem I see is that a lot of podcasts are hosted on iTunes and I'd really rather not go through the trouble of creating an account just for that.

Now onto webseries, which I totally didn't just decide to add to this post. Nope, nope. I'm already watching Achievement Hunter's Let's Play series and NerdCubed's videos, but it's pretty barren when it comes to series. I'm thinking about watching Star Trek Phase II, but I don't know what else until I dig into YouTube to see what it has to offer.

Anyway, have suggestions for podcasts or webseries I should check out? Leave them in the comments below.

Thoughts on Captain America's new costume in The Winter Soldier

(via Marvel.com)
I dig it. For those who don't know, the costume is based on the one Steve Rogers wore in the comics during a period where he wasn't Captain America. The change in costume makes sense, given that in The Winter Soldier, he's a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the costume he wore in The Avengers is a bit too flashy for espionage. Let's take a look at Hawkeye's costume from that movie as a comparison:

(via The Movie Blog)
Note the muted shade of purple. In the comics, it's brighter because Hawkeye wasn't a secret agent like he is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Can you imagine either one of these guys trying to sneak around in their comic book costumes? They would be spotted quickly.

The other thing I like about Steve's new costume is that unlike most other superhero costumes in movies, it's not a rubber suit! Odin, I could write an entire post about my hate for rubberized costumes, and I might. Steve's Avengers and TWS costumes just look realistic. They're not molded to his body, they lack the sculpted musculature of standard superhero movie costumes, and they both don't look like they restrict movement. DC should take note of this for the next Batsuit.

Blog thoughts

So I did some thinking this morning about all of the blogs I have on Blogger and what to do with them. Here's what I've come up with:

  • Shutting down 221B Baker Blog and A Matter of Expedients. I hardly post on them anymore, so there's no point in keeping them active. I'll merge some of the posts from the former to here and delete it, but I'll leave the latter around as an archive because I'd really rather not mess around the tags on those posts.
  • Create a new blog. I know, right? Deleting a blog and discontinuing another, then creating a new one? This one will be different in content. I want to post stuff that I normally wouldn't post here. Things that are more risque. Not like porn or anything, but pictures that I won't have to hide behind read mores. I also won't to post about books that are pulpy or action-y, like Matthew Reilly's Scarecrow novels or even pulpy, trashy books. I might also talk about politics and stuff too.
  • Meanwhile, this blog will pretty much stay the same.
