Enjoy Torchwood while it lasts, there might not be a second helping

Unfortunately, according to io9, Starz might not renew Torchwood for another season, despite having solid ratings. According to their CEO, the main reason they even did it in the first place was because Russell T. Davies was showrunning it. He has other commitments, however, and he might not be able to do another season. Sci-Fi Storm makes an interesting point though:

But keep in mind – this is a British show that now has an American studio behind it. The BBC is still involved, and British TV productions don’t follow as rigid a production cycle. Starz could easily keep that concept, and produce Torchwood when desired.

I could live with that.
