I believe in the Law of Weird Alvolution

What makes Weird Alvolution a scientific law, as opposed to a scientific theory like evolution? Because the former has been an observable process. The latter is still a theory because unfortunately, evolution is such a long, slow process, it hasn't been observed happening. Certainly, we have evidence of it happening, but we haven't seen it happening. Fortunately, we've seen Weird Al Yankovic change and adapt over the decades, so it qualifies as a law.

Anywho, this awesome picture was done by Miranda Dressler, an artist who will be taking part in a comedy themed show in Los Angeles called Is This Thing On?. Bonus win: Weird Al himself will be doing the hosting duties for the show's opening night. Check out her blog and her other awesome art.

Let the white washing begin: Warner Bros. wants to do a Bleach movie

Bleach is a popular (and very good) manga and anime and because of its popularity, Warner Bros. have decided that it must be destroyed like Akira. The WB wants to do a live-action Bleach movie and if Akira is any indication, they'll more than likely disregard the fact that the characters are Japanese and cast white actors instead. So, consider this a preemptive "fuck you" to Warner Bros.

Toonami's intro for Ronin Warriors

Also known as the joy of my teenage years. Toonami was one of the greatest things that Cartoon Network ever created and their shitcanning of it was the single dumbest. Talk about a bargain: You can build your very own Death Star for the low, low price of 85 quadrillion dollars

To type that number out, it would be 852,000,000,000,000,000. That is a lot of zeros. Wow. Economic students at Lehigh University came up with that price tag after crunching numbers. It would also require so much iron (to smelt into steel), that you would have to drill down to the Earth's core and extract most of the iron there. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you view it), that would doom the Earth, so it appears that the road to planetary doomsday weapon is for now, cockblocked.

A thought just occurred to me, though: How much does the Second Death Star cost? This is just the price tag for the first one, and the second was much bigger, so it would presumably cost more.

Welp, so much for Terra Nova.

Blastr reports that Fox's time traveling show with (not enough) dinosaurs will probably be shitcanned, since other shows like Alcatraz and Touch are showing more success than the former. Apparently, Fox was going to use that as an indicator on whether to continue or drop Terra Nova. There is a fan campaign to save it, involving sending plastic dinosaurs to Fox headquarters, but yeah, I'm not holding my breath that Fox will renew it for another season.

I'll admit that Terra Nova wasn't the strongest show when it came to acting and some of the episodes were definitely forgettable, but I enjoyed it enough to give up watching How I Met Your Mother for Terra Nova's entire season. I liked the freshness of it - it's not everyday you see a TV series involving time travel to an alternate Earth, let alone one that also included dinosaurs. The finale and hints at what a second season might entail were both interesting and intriguing enough, at least to me, to warrant one. I don't see Terra Nova being one of those shows that goes on for ten seasons, I never did, but doing another wouldn't kill Fox.

Lightsabers, lightsabers EVERYWHERE!

All of them are from the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. Definitely some interesting ones, but I think I'd go with one of the simpler looking models, like the second-to-last on first row and the last two on the second. The others just look too nice to use in a lightsaber battle, think of the scuff marks!
